MPAA Region I is a non-profit, group of Providers, Vendors, Hospital Associations and Third Party Representatives that meets collectively, approximately five times per year. Membership is required and we currently have 177 members. The location of the meetings is currently in Lansing, MI, at the Ramada Lansing Hotel and Conference Center. Discussions and presentations revolve around current third party issues, billing
and collection updates, topics that are pertinent to all Patient Accounting functions and offers a great opportunity to network with other providers. Special presentations and breakout sessions are offered routinely as topics are identified by our membership.
Representatives are invited to provide updates from Blue Cross, Medicare – A & B, Michigan Department of Community Health, Michigan Health and Hospital Association, Blue Care Network and several Commercial and Medicaid HMO payers at every meeting.
MPAA has established Advisory workgroups that are comprised of current members of MPAA, and Third Party Representatives. Any member may attend an Advisory meeting. The current workgroups are Blue Cross Advisory, Michigan Advisory (United Government Services) and Medicaid/Managed Care Advisory.
MPAA has a website that can be accessed for meeting notices, vendor information and third party links by anyone. The website address is www. mpaaonline.com. To gain access to all other information, you must be a member of MPAA Region I. The membership-only information on the website consists of Member Roster, Board Roster, Advisory Meeting Minutes and General Meeting Minutes for the current and the previous years.

Meeting notices are e-mailed and posted to the MPAA Website at least 10 days prior to the meeting date RSVP is requested.
